Now Hiring—Area Sales Manager

Premier Select Sires, Inc. is seeking an Area Sales Manager in New York state. This role will report to the Northern Regional Marketing Manager and will be responsible to plan, develop and direct the total sales initiative within the designated sales territory. He or she will execute the sale of Premier’s product line to include semen, supplies, nitrogen and all other product components in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement a promotional sales plan to make the products and programs available to all dairy and beef cattle owners within the sales territory
– Create and implement a sales and delivery schedule to successfully maximize sales
– Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all semen, supplies and products
– Use and promote the Select Mating Service to increase sales and benefit customers
– Aid with artificial insemination training courses as needed
– Schedule and coordinate area sales meetings with the Regional Marketing Manager
– Represent Premier at area functions, trade shows, etc.
– Be responsible for the collection of customer accounts within the sales territory
– Assist with other responsibilities and duties as required

Job Requirements:
– College or specific coursework/experience related to business/agriculture
– Two years’ experience in an agriculture sales environment
– Strong interpersonal & communications skills along with excellent customer service skills
– Computer skills

Compensation:
– Salary plus commission based on sales along with a full benefits package
