Crosser Retires after 42-Year Career at Select SiresAfter 42 years of service to Select Sires, Blaine Crosser has announced his retirement, effective July 1. As vice president of dairy sire products and customer service, Crosser made incomparable contributions to Select Sires’ marketing efforts. In his most recent role, he was responsible for coordinating semen production and inventory management for all dairy semen sales. His extreme accuracy and expertise in predicting market sales has been invaluable to Select Sires’ success. Crosser has also worked closely with customer-owners as the sire analyst for Guernsey acquisition and breed development. “The culture of Select Sires centers on our brand promise, Your Success Our Passion. Blaine Crosser has embodied this promise in the entirety of his 42-year career and his commitment to our customer-owners, member cooperatives and fellow Select Sires employees,” says David Thorbahn, president and CEO of Select Sires. “His passion for service was only outweighed by his love of great cattle and the people that owned them! Crosser’s leadership and integrity has provided valuable guidance during cooperative mergers and shifts in the industry. His passion and fervent dedication to Select Sires is exemplified by his service to satisfied customers, member cooperatives, distributors and subsidiaries.

Crosser’s continued support of the dairy industry has been widespread. He has been honored by the American Guernsey Association with the Distinguished Service Award and has judged the International Guernsey Show in Madison, Wisc. Crosser continues to be extremely active in the Ohio Guernsey Breeders Association and the American Guernsey Association.
