Ethan Dearmon, an Area Sales Manager (ASM) in Premier’s southwestern region, retired on September 30, 2023. Ethan has served the Premier cooperative for the past 15 years. Please join us in thanking him for his service and wishing him the very best in retirement!
Ethan first joined Southeast Select Sires (which would eventually become Premier Select Sires after a 2019 merger with Select Sire Power) as an Independent Beef Sales Representative (BSR) working under Premier ASM Len Holliman. He then went on to become an ASM serving dairy and beef producers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Ethan was raised on a poultry and beef farm and fell in love with the agricultural industry early in life. Prior to his time with Premier Ethan worked for Millry Communications for almost 40 years.
“I wanted to make the switch to start working for Select Sires in this industry because it was something I enjoyed doing. I have loved the customers and comradery that have come with it,” said Ethan. “I want to give a shout out to Len, my coworkers, and my customers, for helping me make it to where I have!”
Ethan and his family own Dearmon Fork Farms in Millry, Alabama. Every year they host the Dearmon Fork Farms SimmAngus Sale during the first week of November.
In retirement, Ethan plans to continue running the farm, perhaps travel a bit with his wife Cindy, and spend time with his family. He says that his three twelve-year-old grandchildren, Neilan, Riley, and David will keep him busy!
“I would like to thank all the employees of Premier, who all work together so well. People don’t work together like that in every industry like they do at Premier, and that has been a blessing,” said Ethan. “I would like to wish good luck to my replacement, Jacob Johnson, and to all of my customers.”
“When we were developing our BSR program, Ethan was the first rep we signed. Over time, Ethan transitioned into the ASM position and what a good decision that was,” said Tim Barnes, Regional Sales Manager for Premier Select Sires. “Ethan has never met a stranger, he is a gentleman on all occasions and he never stops selling. I would have to say working with Ethan has been a privilege and a pleasure over the years. Job well done, Ethan…blessings throughout your retirement.”
