Premier Select Sires welcomes the new Area Sale Manager for Eastern Virginia, Mason Hamlett. Mason will transition into his new role in the beginning of August. 

 

“My goal is to bring Premier Select Sires quality to farmers to meet their personal farm goals and to achieve an outstanding conception rate! My goal would always be to provide farmers with the highest standard of professionalism, sanitation and quality!” said Hamlett. 

 

Mason is from Keysville, VA and will service territories in Virginia east of the Route 29 corridor. Hamlett grew up on Angus Crest Farm in Virginia raising cattle and growing hay. In high school, he was an active FFA member where he competed in the Ag Mechanics and Cattle working contests at the state and national levels. He started working with the Buckingham Cattlemen’s Association where he helps with the production sale, feeder calf sale and the AI program.  He took the AI course in the fall of 2023 where he met Luke Johnson and they started working together while Hamlett was AIing his herd and local herds. Mason then met Karen Wheatley at the Virginia Beef Expo where he learned more about Premier Select Sires.
