Open Position – Sales Support Specialist – Southern Region

Premier Select Sires is seeking a Sales Support Specialist in the Southern Region reporting to Brad Barham, Regional Sales Manager. This position will be responsible to oversee the offering of value-added services to maximize profit on the farm.

Main Responsibilities:

• – Work with key accounts on managing data, developing tools, and implementing strategies to benefit on-farm decision making
• – Work with the Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Managers, and fellow sales support specialist in identifying and servicing key accounts as well as leading various events for the sales team
• – Educate customers on benefits of the Select Reproductive Solutions reproductive assistance program to implementation as well as Select Mating Service.
• – Assist in coordination and implementation of A.I. training schools
• – Identify areas of potential growth for the company to recommend sales expansion opportunities
• – Represent Select Sires at regional, state, and national events when applicable
• – Educate, promote, install, and maintenance Cow Manager activity systems
• – Assist product sales with the coordination of Premier Product Manager
• – Provide feedback on activities in the area
• – Other tasks as assigned

Success Measurements:

• – Market share of dairy herds that begin using and continue using Premier Select Sires semen, products, and services
• – Satisfaction of customers utilizing value-added services
• – Growth in products and services sold
• – Increased number of customers, patrons, and attendees that are reached by an education event or program
• – Increased overall profitability of the cooperative

Job Requirements:

• – College degree in agriculture required
• – Two years’ experience in an agriculture sales environment is preferred
• – Strong interpersonal & communications skills along with excellent customer service skills
• – Self-motivated
• – Experience with cattle evaluation and reproductive solutions
• – Experience as an A.I. technician
• – Computer skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PcDart, and Dairy Comp
• – Candidate must reside or be willing to reside in the Southern Region of Premier with a preference for NC or VA.
