ASM Rick Krall Retires after 37 Years of Service

Premier Area Sales Manager Rick Krall retired on June 15, 2024 after 37 total years of service with Premier or its preceding cooperatives. Please join us in congratulating him and thanking him for his contributions and dedication to our cooperative!

Rick grew up on a dairy farm and said he had always taken interest in the breeding program on the farm. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1979 with a degree in Dairy Science and began working as an Area Sales Manager for Virginia-North Carolina Select Sires in June of 1980. He serviced southwestern Virginia for seven years, returned to dairy farming for seven years, and then in 1994 resumed as an Area Sales Manager in Pennsylvania. Until his retirement, he has served dairy and beef farmers in Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Schuylkill counties.

“I’ve enjoyed all of the relationships and friendships I’ve created with my customers and coworkers over the years,” said Rick.

Rick is a multiple-time recipient of the Select Sires President’s Club and Super Achiever awards for excellence in sales and service. Last year he surpassed one million units in sales.

“It has been a pleasure for me to work with Rick over the past few years,” said Sean Johnson, Central Region Sales Manager for Premier Select Sires. “There is no doubt he has had his customer’s and Premier’s best interests in mind throughout his career. Rick has been a mentor and a friend to his fellow coworkers, always willing to share some of his knowledge with them. I firmly believe that Rick has been a strong contributor to his customers’ success and we thank him for all he has done!”

In retirement, Rick looks forward to working on home improvement projects and spending more time with his wife, Lauren, their six children, and seven grandchildren. Rick and Lauren enjoy raising and training puppies to be service dogs through Amazing Tails LLC, which is an organization that specializes in training seizure alert dogs. Pictured is Gabriel, a puppy they are currently raising. Rick also looks forward to watching more sunsets from his porch.

We wish Rick all the best in retirement!
